(c) merry is Czech conceptual and digital artist based primarily on Internet. With background in Film and Communication studies, she is concerned with internet art and its combinations and overlaps with moving image and performance. She is currently a PhD student of Art Education at Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic, and Visiting Fulbright Researcher at Teachers College, Columbia University, New York.
Under the name Mary Meixner (b. 1986, Zábřeh na Moravě, Czech Republic, lives and works in Olomouc, Czech Republic, and New York, NY) she acts as critical and theoretical writer and curator, concerned primarily with internet and digital art. She is an editor of Experimental cinema and contemporary art section of Film and New Media Magazine 25fps, co-curates ScreenSaverGallery and PAF – Festival of Film Animation and Contemporary Art.
